Animals are a constant source of joy, pride, happiness, and love for millions of people around the world. Some people enjoy the company of a cat or a dog. Others enjoy more exotic pets and creatures. Even fewer spend their lives documenting the lives of some of the most wild but majestic animals.

While it would be amazing and awesome to spend time documenting lions or other wild animals, Donna Hayden doesn’t quite have the time to do that. She is someone who loves animals and especially loves helping animals find better homes. She has been volunteering at a variety of organizations as well as belonged to a few animal-supporting organizations for years.

One of her favorite organizations to volunteer her time with is a group that promoted Dog Days Events in the local area. These events are geared around dog adoption drives to help get family-less dogs a home they deserve. Donna Hayden thinks this is a great way to spend some of her free time. Not only does the dog get a new home, but he will provide endless entertainment and love to any family that adopts it. It’s a win-win situation for anyone who adopts a dog at these events and Donna Hayden is happy to be a part of that.

In fact, these dog adoption events have been really popular in the past. At the Guilford event, Donna Hayden helped the organization find homes for over 160 dogs they were offering for adoption. This was a great number and it meant that 160 families now had a new family member that would be loving and thankful forever.

Donna Hayden plans to continue her volunteer work at these organizations. Nothing feels better than handing a dog away for adoption when you know they will have a loving and caring family to go to. It’s a great feeling and one that keeps Donna Hayden coming back to help at the adoption events.
